Wards.com Return Policy?
Wards.com has a detailed return policy. To return an order, the customer must complete a form and include it with the return. The return should be packed carefully in the original packaging, and all existing labels from the box should be covered or removed. The return should be shipped insured to the Returns Department at 2000 Harrison Dr, Ste 100 Clinton IA 52732. The customer should keep the receipt and fill in a Return Reason Code for each item returned. The customer can specify any new or exchange item(s) they wish to receive and include this form with the returned merchandise.
As for the shipping policy, shipping and processing charges are calculated according to the total order value. For example, orders up to $15.00 have a shipping and processing fee of $5.99, and orders between $15.01 and $30.00 have a fee of $9.99. This continues in a tiered manner up to orders of $250.01 & up, which have a fee of 13% of the order total. An additional per address charge of $3.99 is added to each additional shipping address. A $1.99 surcharge per order is added in response to inflation pressures and peak surcharges passed along by carriers. Additional delivery items require special packaging and additional freight, and this is calculated based on an alpha code system. Expedited and Express Service options are also available for faster delivery.

What is the history of Montgomery Ward?
Montgomery Ward is the name of two successive U.S. retail corporations. The original Montgomery Ward & Co. was a world-pioneering mail-order business and later a leading department store chain that operated between 1872 and 2001. The current Montgomery Ward Inc. is a national online shopping and mail-order catalog retailer that started several years after the original Montgomery Ward shut down.
Aaron Montgomery Ward started his business in Chicago. In 1883, the company's catalog had grown to 240 pages and 10,000 items. In 1896, Wards encountered its first serious competition in the mail order business, when Richard Warren Sears introduced his first general catalog. By 1904, Wards had expanded such that it mailed three million catalogs, weighing 4 lb (1.8 kg) each, to customers.
In 1908, the company opened a 1.25-million-square-foot (116,000 m 2) building stretching along nearly one-quarter mile of the Chicago River, north of downtown Chicago. The building, known as the Montgomery Ward & Co. Catalog House, served as the company headquarters until 1974, when the offices moved across the street to a new tower designed by Minoru Yamasaki. The catalog house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978 and a Chicago historic landmark in May 2000.
Originally founded in 1872 as a mail order catalog company, Montgomery Ward revolutionized shopping by delivering a vast array of products right to customers’ doors. Over the decades, it’s continued to evolve with customers’ needs, transforming into the beloved department store and online retailer it is today.
